Today I wanted to open a discuss about the “Gold Supplier Membership” of Alibaba, the pretended “world’s famous and greatest B2B information exchange platform”. They are very proud about it, because they are talking about having more than 42 million registered members (33 million from China and 9,5 million from International markets) world wide and so they want to attract people with some suspicious benefits.

Let’s have together a look today, about them and the facts. Because some of the commitments are really interesting, I just wanted to take your attention. We all have heard enough about the victims . Also we personally had some unpleasant experiences caused by “Alibaba’s Gold Supplier Members.”

Let’s look and discuss their argumentations, why to be a “Gold Supplier Membership”.

1 – Maximize Your Exposure

“…unlimited products with first-level Priority Listing to make sure buyers see and choose you first. With our exclusive Gold Supplier logo next to all your product listings, your company will stand out explicitly from competitors to help generate 22x* more inquiries and…”

Of course that is a good benefit for “SELLERS”, but it is not certain how to estimate 22x more inquires. Maybe they could explain it more clearly to the people, how to make this estimation..

By the way, I really wonder why on inquiries the Chinese members have always the priority.

2 – Exclusive Access to Buyers

“Be the first to contact buyers with exclusive access to the latest Buying Leads 7 days before Free Members. Most buyers prefer to be contacted by paid members only, so you’ll gain 100% access to millions of buyers on Alibaba.com and unlimited business opportunities.”

Another good benefit for “SELLERS”.

3 – They put some references in their advertisements from world wide such as;

“I like to work with Gold Suppliers because they are authenticated and verified through Alibaba.com and I know I can trust them. I have already closed a deal with one of them and I know this is only the beginning. Soon I will build even more trustworthy business relationships.”

All those commitments can maybe attract the members who want to sell something on that portal, but for the BUYERS like me, who are seeking for trustful and legitimate suppliers – this means nothing, because of the lack of  Alibaba’s poor verifying system.

4 – Alibaba’s another one argumentation – “Gain Buyers’ Trust Fast”

Another one of the great untrue illusions is as follows;

“Increase your buyer confidence with a verified company profile, as over 85% of buyers prefer to do business with verified suppliers only. All Gold Suppliers must complete an authentication and verification process by a third-party security service provider before qualifying as a Premium Member, so this additional security measure helps you gain immediate trust as a legitimate company and serious supplier.”

Never believe in this kind of great words, because this is exactly a great bullshit. If this commitment would be true, a lot of fraudulent incidents and thousand of complaints wouldn’t have occurred day by day. Who is this third part company, it is not certain.

ALIBABA IS THE SAFE HEAVEN OF ANY COUNTRY’S SCAMMERS.

That is the irony of a TRUSTPASS / GOLDPASS membership. It is plain logic that just because someone can afford to pay membership, that does not automatically mean he or she can be trusted.

Summary: No membership is reliable and trustful for a professional scammer. Because some scammers can also get a GOLD MEMBERSHIP with enough money, in order to scam more people at anywhere on the globe.

GOLDMEMBERSHIP is the trick of ALIBABA!!
