Heard of the popular site lightinthebox.com. They sell everything you could possibly want or need. From electronics, jewelry, to out door sporting goods. They seem to have it all for a very low low price. They give discounts when you buy in bulk too…yippie! Something almost seems to look to be good to be true!
Guess what, it is way to good to be true. I recently discover this site when I was looking for car cd players. However, the prices were just great! One of the dead giveaways that inspired me to investigate them was the fact that none of there cd/dvd players had any logos on them. Why is this?
Ok, so I saw a VeriSign logo on their comapny, they couldn’t be fake could they. VeriSign memberships cost several thousands of dollars a year! Well, I checked with VeriSign and guess what they are not register with them. They cut and pasted there logo onto their site. Good job boys! Go figure.
They accept Paypal, but chances are when you contact them they will only accept Western Union? Thier Paypal is froze. Yeah right! Just another classic hoax that has been operating since 2006. They will ship (rip off) everywhere in the world, too.
Please check out some the information I found on them:
Fake Iphone:

No way it couldn’t be fake could it?
Prom Dress:

Save a little money on a prom dress, yeah right! But it is name brand and so cute!
Stay away from Lightinthebox.com they are a scam!

Dear customer,
My name is Wei Jin from LightInTheBox.com. I am wondering if you can share your experience on websites, such as http://www.ResellerRatings.com and http://www.ReviewFBI.com, or other merchant review sites of your choosing. We can help you post the review, if you authorize us to do so. We will not disclose any personal information other than your first name and the content of the review. Please let me know if this sounds okay to you.
As you know, LightInTheBox.com’s business model is innovative. We sell customized products to global customers and because of this there will sometimes be inevitable operational errors on our part. This can cause customer frustration and we understand that these customers might want to vent about their unpleasant shopping experience on review sites. While we are continuing to improve our operations and to offer our global customers the best shopping experience possible, we want to show the public the whole picture. You can help us do this by sharing your experience on merchant review websites.
We would appreciate your help very much and send you a small gift as a token of our appreciation.
Best regards,
WTF! Stupid chink!
