Wow Garen,

I have been looking over this site you created and it great. More people should be doing what you are doing. I love how you dedicated your free time to help people report scams online. You are truely a great person!

Dear All,

In this case I would at a minimum do the following on craigslist or for that matter any other site, web 2.0 site.

1) Leverage “report abuse” feature on web 2.0 sites.
For e.g in this case of craigslist I would mail spam@craigslist.org.ALso I would complete other options like filling their feedback form, calling their help desk for them to try and avoid such spams.

2) If it is a post on craigslist against an ad, I would flag it under one of the options provided by craigslist:-
a) flag as miscategorized
b) flag as spam / overpost
c) flag as prohibited

Inspite of the above, you may still see spams, but the above actions from responsible users like us may help prevent to some extent is my view.

Regards,
kaybee
