As stated by Gary, Good rules to follow. When I say rules, it is good to practice these to hold back personal info from notorious people.

I had a friend from US who is back in India recently, who narrated this interesting real life info. He had applied for a Credit card and in the meanwhile he had to shift to another home location. He had also informed his credit card company about his “Change of Address”. Instead the card reached his old address and owners conveniently bought items on his card and he got the bill pending on his name, until he realized that his new home loan has been cancelled due to online credit check by his mortgage firm for loan. Given the context, many rules of similar nature on taking personal care of our identities on web 1.0 and web 2.0 social networking sites have great importance.
