The Underlining Truth Of Survey Scams

While there are some legitimate online survey sites that some people have used to make small amounts of money in their spare time, the majority of the heavily advertised paid survey programs are nothing more than a scam. If you want to save yourself a lot of time and money, consider how this popular scam works.

It usually starts when someone interested in making money online finds an advertisement, sees a pop-up, or gets an email from a website promising they can make considerable amounts of money just by filling out surveys in their spare time.

Inside Look at Survey Scams

The allure of making easy money is enticing to many people, who will click from the advertisement to the website in search of more information. What they get then is a nice sales page that describes in very uncertain terms how they can make lots of money for doing nothing more than lending their opinions and experiences to marketers for various companies. This is the purpose of the surveys, right?

A legitimate site will offer free registration and give access to a variety of surveys, but a scam site asks for a virtual signature of approval and a little money instead. They want you to pay for some type of packet or information that will help you start making money as a survey taker. Some will even claim to send you a list of companies looking for people to fill out their surveys, but of course there is a fee.

The fee is often around $10, which most people think is not much to lose even if it does turn out to be a scam. That is what makes it such a lucrative scam! $10 may not be much to one person, but $10 from hundreds of people adds up.

If real information is delivered, it is not going to lead to any real amounts of money from taking surveys. In most cases, the information received is completely useless or may instruct the buyer to in turn scam other people to get their money back.

Underlining Truth Of Survey Scams

As with most scams, it is impossible to get a hold of the scammer after your money was processed. The scammer has made is small amount of money off of you, and is not ready to move onto the next victim. As stated above, this is a very lucrative scam that makes the the fraudster thousands of dollars a day.
