This not just one scam story this is a handful of them. Lightinthebox.com is ripping people off by the millions, seriously. Have you checked around, people are pissed! So basically they are selling you all kind of electrics for dirt cheap, there must be something wrong with them right? Not according to Lightinthebox! Well if you guessed write they are just a scam that has been ripping people off like crazy.
A lot of people are finding this company on the Internet because they are seeking wholesale items from China. I really wish Google would ban their site and save everyone a lot of trouble. They do what Costsco and Sam Club have been doing for years. They buy stuff in bulk in sell it for a reduced price. However, what happen when you are not really operating your business in a legit way.
Lightinthebox does have a branch that is located in Beijing. This is their main headquarters. Also, aside from having a (cough) scam located in Beijing they also have a branch located in Shezhen, which is near Hong Kong. Shenzhen is known worldwide for its electronics trade. What a perfect make up for some electronics.
Interested in buying an iPod, iPhone, Laptops, ect. First and foremost, all there stuff is complete junk and falsely advertised. I have received numerous reports on getting stuff that was not correctly advertised, and it is ALL gray market merchandise that very poor quality. Recently, I did a search on YouTube and so far people have made various videos on stuff they have been cheated on from lightinthebox. I am sure this number will go up drastically.
Get this I have even received emails from their ceo scammer “Alan Guo”. I recently, did a story on my blog about how they use Versign as a means for proving that they are legit. However, it is fake, just go to Verisign.com and type in their web address. Nothing shows up. Amazing must be a glitch in the system right? No the problem is they don’t really exist.
They told me that it other big companies such as Paypal and Amazon don’t show up there either. Well, I check and they certainly do. You see I am designer myself and could make that phony page with a little Photoshop, and PHP and web design work. Good one Lightinthebox. To be honest with you who knows if this is really legit? I have already wasted to much time going back and forth with Lightinthebox via email. I really wish you would just quit emailing me!

Ok, so earlier I meantioned that light in the box was giving these descriptions that does meet what you really get? What do I mean by that anyways? Well, you know when you buy a car and they tell you runs great and when you go to look at it the damn thing doesn’t run at all. Well, the same story can be said about these con-artist. They say that when you buy a iPhone or whatever that it will receive images, play MP4, ect. Well, just look at these descriptions on their site. I am betting that if you called them up on it or even wished to leave a review they would just remove it. They don’t care about your business, they just want your money and that is it.

So this all looks pretty good. They even have a rating system. You can even write a review. How much do you want to bet if I wrote a review saying “this product is fake and I didn’t like it” they would just remove the comment. They don’t really care about your satisfaction. Are you kidding me stop sending me emails stating “that customer satisfaction is our number one concern in 2010.” Is it really? No con-artist is going to say yeah we are a scam, and you got us. They are going to talk and talk unitl they can’t talk anymore.
Beleive me I am not just on a witch hunt looking for scams. When I get enought reports on one I do a report on it. Lightinthebox you are a joke, seriously I don’t care about your worthless products. I am not going to waste my time replying to your emails. Stop ripping people off and you won’t have this problem!

However, I am sure they are going to shoot me a million emails on how they are not a scam, in broken English, I am sure. They already have and they say they have been around since 2006-10-02. That is all great there are scams that have been around for way longer than that. So feel free to leave a comment on your lightinthebox deal gone bad.
